New Watercolor
Another watercolor has begun, although I'm not sure what I would title this one. I'm working on including the loose and lyrical look of sketches in finished watercolors. Not to say that I would ever abandon tighter, inked drawings. It's good to keep a happy relationship with my pencils beyond just the sketching.

New Website
I have a new website up at www.yvettepiette.com. It is very much a work in progress, and something that I would like to turn into a nice online gallery of all my best work.
This weekend Joel and I headed to Oconomowoc, WI to attend a speech by an editor for GreenWillow Books. By virtue of attending, I will be able to send her a submission. I plan to do so after printing some new business cards that will include the new web address. This will be a good opportunity.

Zero for Religious Art
Student Sues Wisconsin School After Getting a Zero for Religious Drawing.
I think the drawing leaves much to be desired, but giving the kid a zero because of the religious content is ridiculous.
Update: Michelle Malkin has more.
