Two Examples

Here are some illustrations for a couple of the cards we have so far...

Not Right Cards

Joel and I have been working with a man in Brookfield, WI who wants to start his own greeting card line called Not Right Cards. As the name suggests, the writing is out there and atypical, aimed at picking on traditional greeting cards rather than using the usual humor that one might see in such things. The gentleman wrote to me a year ago this month to think up and create illustrations, and we now have the first twenty cards professionaly printed. We have been and continue searching for good venues, and welcome any suggestions.

I will link the Not Right Cards website when it's up and running.

Mouse & Giant

This was done for a class a year or so ago, but I plan to make some kind of a story book around it. Ideas, ideas...

Picnic

Here's another watercolor. When first I finished it I thought the man was just wearing white pants, and then someone asked what he was holding. I realized it kind of looked like he was holding up or folding a white blanket, hence the title. This was part of a solo exhibit I had at the student union during my last semester.

Kirsche and SunDog

Here's a picture for my sister of her two dogs. Probably not a normal portrait but I hope she likes it. I was imagining what they do when she's at work, their secret house in walls, as it were.
