This is a little sample illustration I did a while ago for a children's book script that someone sent to the UW art department. It never went beyond this though because a) most people who look for artists at the university think they can pay next to nothing for the work, and b) the story was badly written.
These are two of four images that fit together side by side as one long piece. Joel did the other two, but sadly I don't have all four together. My good life drawing professor tolerated all the goofy things I wanted to do. Drawing from the models gets boring.
From one of many figure drawing classes. I was sad to hear recently that all of my good drawing professors are retiring and may not be replaced by young people who appreciate the craft as much as they did. Performance, concept, abstract and film seem to be the bigger things in the department.
