Mouse Book

This is a little sample illustration I did a while ago for a children's book script that someone sent to the UW art department. It never went beyond this though because a) most people who look for artists at the university think they can pay next to nothing for the work, and b) the story was badly written.

Bar Series

These are two of four images that fit together side by side as one long piece. Joel did the other two, but sadly I don't have all four together. My good life drawing professor tolerated all the goofy things I wanted to do. Drawing from the models gets boring.

I don't work with oil pastels much, but I like this old picture.

Figure Drawing

From one of many figure drawing classes. I was sad to hear recently that all of my good drawing professors are retiring and may not be replaced by young people who appreciate the craft as much as they did. Performance, concept, abstract and film seem to be the bigger things in the department.

Vanitas Oil Painting

Oil isn't my strong point at present, but this is the most recent oil painting I've done worth showing.

Thanks for being such a distant friend.

Not Right Cards

Joel and I have been working with a man in Brookfield, WI who wants to start his own greeting card line called Not Right Cards. As the name suggests, the writing is out there and atypical, aimed at picking on traditional greeting cards rather than using the usual humor that one might see in such things. The gentleman wrote to me a year ago this month to think up and create illustrations, and we now have the first twenty cards professionaly printed. We have been and continue searching for good venues, and welcome any suggestions.

I will link the Not Right Cards website when it's up and running.

Mouse & Giant

This was done for a class a year or so ago, but I plan to make some kind of a story book around it. Ideas, ideas...
